OwnersBucks Rewards
I spearheaded the UI design for OwnersBucks 2.0, a new rewards program integrated into the OwnersBox daily fantasy sports platform. This initiative aimed to enhance user engagement and retention by providing a compelling "cash-back" style reward system that translates gameplay into tangible benefits. OwnersBucks allows users to earn rewards for playing Player Picks, Salary Cap, and Lightning Lineups contests, which can then be redeemed for tickets to enter more contests and win real money. This system fosters a rewarding cycle, incentivizing continued play and increasing user lifetime value.

Task
The primary task was to seamlessly integrate the OwnersBucks system into the existing OwnersBox platform while ensuring clarity and ease of use. This involved designing intuitive interfaces for earning, redeeming, and tracking OwnersBucks, as well as effectively communicating the program's value proposition to users. Furthermore, the design needed to accommodate different user segments, including VIP members who have the added benefit of converting OwnersBucks to cash.
Solution
I focused on creating a user-friendly experience that clearly explains the OwnersBucks program and its benefits. The design incorporated the following key improvements:
Clear Communication
I designed the OwnersBucks balance display using an infographic approach, clearly separating redeemable and total amounts for easy comprehension. I also developed concise and engaging messaging to introduce the program, focusing on the "cash-back" analogy and the value proposition of earning and redeeming rewards.
Intuitive Navigation
To address the "discoverability" issue, I redesigned the mobile app header to prominently display all three user balances (cash, OwnersBucks, and tickets), providing quick access to each. This streamlined the user journey and made it easier to track rewards.
Streamlined Redemption Process
The redemption process for OwnersBucks, including ticket purchases and cash conversion (for VIP users), features dedicated screens/modals. Attention was given to visual hierarchy, clear spacing and the presentation of the OwnersBucks icon to maximize readability.
